The 2012 CFDA Awards were held at the Lincoln Center in New York City on Tuesday. Fashion’s most popular designers went head to head for the night’s prestigious awards. Style icons Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took home the womenswear designer of the year award for their brand The Row. Other winners included Billy Reid (menswear designer of the year), Tommy Hilfiger (lifetime achievement award) and Joseph Altuzarra, Phillip Lim and Tabitha Simmons (emerging talent in womenswear, menswear and accessory design, respectively).

Seth Meyers hosted the awards in some very questionable outfits, clearly the SNL actor was trying to poke fun at fashion and lighten up the mood in the room, which he did! He joked with the audience, “Fashion people like hating things more than they like liking things.” Well, there were a lot of things WE LIKED about the CFDA Awards! Zoe Saldana was absolutely stunning in Prabal Gurung… didn’t hurt having the hunky designer on her arm as well. Joan Smalls was perfecting in white Michael Kors. The model who had the best fashion moment was Hilary Rhoda in a blue color-blocked cut-out dress – absolutely stunning!
