This episode of America’s Next Top Model kicks off with a video message from Jay Manuel. The girls are invited to castings at Toronto Fashion Week, which means, if booked they will walk in a real runway show. They will have to impress eight designers just a day before the catwalk. This is a Top Model first, never before have the girls walked in a real live fashion week. The pressure is on.

The girls meet first with Kimberley Newport-Mimran, president and designer of Pink Tartan (the most important show at Toronto Fashion Week). Kim liked Sophie’s confidence and booked her along with Laura and Kyle.

The girls then met with the rest of the designers. Eboni and Sophie booked the most shows, four out of eight and AzMarie was picked to close a show (a big honor for models). Seymone, Catherine and Ashley were the only models to not book any shows.

When it came to their last casting for Jay Manuel’s line Attitude, their luck didn’t change; Laura, Kyle, AzMarie and Sophie were the only models to make the cut.

Seymone’s attitude problem over not getting chosen began to rub the girls the wrong way. Jay takes her aside and tells her that her spark is missing and that could have been a factor in the designer’s not casting her. On the other hand, Sophie is pleasantly surprised with her success at the castings as her walk on Britain’s Next Top Model was one of the worst.

When it came to show time, Laura and Kyle were cut from Pink Tartan. Kimberly didn’t think their runway walks were ready yet. The girls were shocked and hoped that this last minute decision wouldn’t affect them at panel.

Tyra Mail: Sticky and Sweet and Oh So Delicious!

The girls meet Jay Manuel in Toronto’s Distillery District for their photoshoot with Miguel Jacob in which they will be drenched in Canadian organic maple syrup. They also find out that the winners of the challenge were Eboni and Sophie who won an all-expense paid trip to the Calgary Stampede and clothes from Attitude.

Judging

Sophie: Nigel Barker said that his eyes went straight to Sophie’s face. Guest judge Beverly Johnson said that this photograph is high fashion. Tyra Banks wished Sophie was a little weirder in the shot.

Alisha: Kelly Cutrone believes Alisha has much greater potential than what is seen in the photograph. Beverly Johnson thinks the pose is too safe.

AzMarie: Beverly says AzMarie could be a star. Kelly says she is smouldering hot and Nigel says this shot is what he lives for.

Catherine: The judges notice her confidence is down because she didn’t book any shows. Kelly says that keeping your head in the right place and making sure your feet follow is important in this industry.

Annaliese: Tyra loves her body language and bone structure.

Kyle: Beverly loves the weird pose and piercing eyes. Kelly says that she sees a model when she looks at Kyle.

Laura: Nigel loves the shape she created. Tyra loves how vulnerable she looks in the photo.

Ashley: Nigel says he can see fear in her eyes. Kelly says she loves Ashley’s personality but not enough to make her a model. Tyra says that the sadness in her eyes adds softness to the photo.

Seymone: Nigel loves her face in this shot. Beverly applauds Seymone for knowing how to use her body.

Eboni: Kelly calls Eboni an exotic beautiful girl. Tyra says she looks sexy but at the same time pure.

Best photo is awarded to Eboni’s stunning photograph. AzMarie follows in second place and Sophie in third. Two Brits land in the bottom two: Catherine and Ashley. Both didn’t book any fashion week shows. The judges love Ashley’s personality but Catherine has more modeling potential. Ashley is sent home to Scotland where her two adorable children are waiting. Tyra assures Ashley that she has a big career ahead of her as a television personality.
